Asanja Ruaha Ndembo Camp situated on the Ruaha River. Ruaha is famous for its Ancient Baobab trees, and the camp is ideally located among them and the Miombo forest.
In 2008, the Usungu Game Reserve and other important wetlands were added to the Ruaha National Park, increasing its size to 20,226 square kilometres and making it the largest park in Tanzania and East Africa.
Ruaha is a hidden Gem in Safari circles. The park boasts an almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, allowing visitors a rare safari experience away from the maddening crowd of other vehicles. It is home to one of the largest populations of elephants and has the second-largest concentration of lions on Earth. The Lesser Kudu and endangered wild dogs are only seen in this park.
