Unique Safari Experience
Mwagusi Safari Camp provides guests with a unique and comfortable tented safari experience. Nearly the entire camp constructed from natural materials, such as grass thatch, timber, driftwood, stones, and reeds, ensuring a harmonious blend with the surrounding landscape.
Banda Structure and Comfort
Each “banda” (meaning ‘temporary shelter’) consists of a large, spacious tent, sheltered by a cooling thatch roof and set on a polished red floor. Each banda includes en-suite facilities with a flushing toilet, unlimited hot water, a shower, sink, shelving, a large mirror, and good night-time lighting. Constructed with stones, driftwood, and bones, the bathroom design is distinctive, interesting, and original, with thick, comfortable towels, soap, and shampoo provided.
Laundry and Living Area Amenities
A complimentary same-day laundry service is offered for all guests. The tented living area also includes a dressing table, mirror, a storage trunk, comfortable beds with high-density mattresses, safari-style chairs, and bedside tables for night-time reading.
Private Verandah and Riverside View
Each banda is built along the sandy banks of the Mwagusi River, offering private, secluded views. With a large covered verandah, comfortable cushioned seating, and a swinging hammock, the bandas are the perfect retreat to relax and view passing wildlife.
