A balanced mix of wildlife, primates, culture & heritage — featuring Queen Elizabeth NP, Igongo Cultural Centre & Museum, and Bwindi.

Day 1 — Cross to Uganda: Mutukula → Masaka → Kampala

Depart from Tanzania and cross the Mutukula border. Continue through Masaka to Kampala for overnight. Border procedures vary by season, so early departure is recommended.

Day 2 — Kampala → Murchison Falls National Park

Drive north through Masindi to Murchison Falls NP. Visit the dramatic Top of the Falls and enjoy an evening game drive. Optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (extra cost).

Day 3 — Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Explore the savannah on a sunrise game drive, followed by the famous boat cruise to the base of the falls. Expect sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and river birds.

Day 4 — Transfer to Kibale via Fort Portal

Scenic transfer through tea estates and crater lakes toward Fort Portal. Overnight near Kibale Forest for next day’s chimp trekking.

Day 5 — Chimp Trekking (Kibale) → Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin the morning with a guided chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest — the “Primate Capital of the World.” After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), Uganda’s most scenic and biodiverse park. Enjoy an evening game drive in the famous Kasenyi Plains, known for lions, elephants and vast herds of Uganda kob.

Day 6 — Queen Elizabeth NP → Igongo Lodge & Cultural Centre (Mbarara)

Choose between a morning game drive or a relaxing Kazinga Channel boat cruise, offering close sightings of hippos, buffaloes and water birds. After lunch, head to the Ankole region for a deeply cultural experience at Igongo Cultural Centre & Museum.

Highlights at Igongo:

  • Igongo Museum (Eriijukiro) — Ankole history, artifacts & heritage.
  • Traditional homestead — Experience local architecture & life.
  • Local dishes — Sample Eshabwe, millet bread, ghee & more.

Overnight at Igongo Country Hotel & Lodge or Lake Mburo surroundings.

Day 7 — Optional Visit to Bwindi or Lake Mburo → End of Tour

You may choose between:

Option A: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early transfer to the mystical Bwindi Forest, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy scenic views, forest walks, village visits or relaxation (gorilla trekking can be added at extra cost).

Option B: Lake Mburo National Park
Game drive in Uganda’s smallest savannah park, known for zebras, impalas, elands and beautiful lakes. Optional afternoon boat ride.

Departure Day (Day 8) — Return to Tanzania or Entebbe

Choose to return via Mutukula to Tanzania or continue to Entebbe for your international flight.
