The Grumeti Wildlife Management Area (WMA), bordered by Serengeti National Park in the South and West and in the North by the Grumeti Game Reserve, is arguably one of the most scenically beautiful and diverse wilderness areas. Wildlife is abundant throughout the year, attracted by the Grumeti River, which crosses the area only two kilometres away from Grumeti Hills Lodge. During May, June, and October to December, the Great Migration passed through this area.
The lodge offers truly amazing bush experiences, including walking safaris and night game drives in E-powered 4x4s—the first in East Africa.
The Grumeti Hills Lodge is built on the highest hill in the area, with a breathtaking view over the Serengeti plains. The 16 tents offer superb comfort, a beautiful living space with a wooden floor, and en-suite bathrooms with a shower and flushing toilet. Hot water and electricity are 100% provided by a solar system. The typical stone buildings are perfectly integrated into the environment. The swimming pool offers refreshment and relaxation after a fantastic safari experience.
