Services & Amenities of Roho ya Selous Luxury Camp

Room types of Roho ya Selous Luxury Camp

Guest Tent – 2 pax

Roho ya Selous’ eight tents are tucked into the trees and set far apart to maximise privacy. They are stylish and spacious, measuring an impressive 60m² inside. Thoughtful details include an evening breeze cooling system over the bed to allow you to sleep peacefully even during the hotter months and an en-suite bathroom complete with indoor and outdoor showers. Twin and triple configurations are also available on request.

Family Tent – 4 pax

The family tent is the same size as the double tents but is spacious enough to accommodate a family of five – the footprint of the tents is 60m² inside. The main bedroom is a more compact version of the double tents, with an evening breeze cooling system over the bed, fan, reed walls, and slate floors. There is a main bathroom with a flush toilet and outdoor shower. The children’s room has a shower, basin, bunk bed, and single bed, accommodating up to three children. Due to the layout, the children’s room beds do not have an evening breeze cooling system.

Catch and release fishing.

Spend a relaxing afternoon on the boat and try your hand at a spot of catch-and-release fishing. The waters in Nyerere National Park teem with many fish species, including various catfish and the sought-after tiger fish. At Roho ya Selous, we have all the equipment you need. All that’s left to do is cast your line, sit back and see what happens.

Boating safaris

No safari in Nyerere is complete without a trip on the water. Enjoy morning or evening boating safaris from Roho ya Selous, and cruise alongside pods of hippos in the shallows and spot crocodiles sunning themselves on the sandbanks. Don’t forget your binoculars either — boating safaris offer excellent birdwatching opportunities as you drift up close to nesting colonies.

Walking safaris

Lace up your walking boots and discover the bush with one of our expert guides. The perfect complement to game drives and boat trips, a walking safari will awaken all your senses and allow you to feel, smell and hear the bush, not just see it.
