Campsite:
A large expanse of grass is made available to campers. Our camp is completely fenced in, so you can camp safely in the middle of nature.
Camping equipment can be rented on-site (tents, mattresses and sleeping bags).
Maasai security guards protect the camp day and night.
You will be immersed in the heart of another age, in an unspoilt wilderness where you will
be able to observe the numerous birds that inhabit the surrounding area, such as pink flamingos, as well as wildlife.
Every morning, large groups of giraffes bypass the lodge on their way back from the river where they drink every night, offering the visitors a magnificent spectacle.
The local people living around the lodge are mainly Maasai. They perpetuate their pastoral way of life by keeping their livestock and moving their herds in perfect harmony with their environment. At the lodge, you will have the opportunity to meet them and discover their way of life and traditions.
The United Nations counts Engaresero among the traditional models of life of global importance. (SATIM).
We believe in fair and sustainable tourism that benefits both the travellers and the local people who welcome them while preserving nature.
A part of the lodge’s profits are reinvested in solidarity projects in collaboration with the local community.
Respect for nature shapes our daily practices, we reduce our environmental impact by using solar panels, and water filters, reducing plastic and practising permaculture or reforestation.
