The Villa can comfortably accommodate 16 adult guests, with additional single beds for children available upon request. The four ground-floor rooms offer garden and ocean views, while the four rooms on the upper floor offer uninterrupted vistas over the Indian Ocean to nearby islands and atolls. Each room is air-conditioned and has an outdoor area to enjoy the magnificent sunrises for which Matemwe is renowned.

Our food philosophy focuses on fresh, seasonal, organic ingredients. We purchase the freshest seafood from local fishermen as they return from the ocean each morning and source tropical fruits and organic farm produce from our neighbors. Farm to fork, with almost no food miles involved.

Our chef will curate a menu during your stay, fusing traditional Zanzibari cuisine with international influences. Every dish will have subtle yet intense flavors; not for nothing is Zanzibar known as the Spice Island.
