After touching down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel. This is one of Moshi's first genuinely 4-star boutique hotels, providing excellent ambiance and facilities.
The next day, the guide will drive you to Chagga Village; the drive is approximately 1 hour; on arrival, you will be welcomed by the Chagga Elders with a song and dance. Later, they will present the Chagga Village and see how they grow Banana and Coffee Locally. Get to meet the children and interact with them. They will present their local cuisine. This activity will take approximately 5 to 7 hours. As you say goodbye, you will drive to your accommodation in Moshi,
After breakfast, you will drive to a small village called Osiligilai, which takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, You will be welcomed by the Maasai people with their traditional dance and enchants. They will start by telling the Maasai people's history, culture, and interactions among themselves. They will demonstrate how they slaughter goats, eat raw meat, and drink blood as part of their culture. These activities will be done within two days. You will stay overnight at the Maasai Village for two nights.
After breakfast, you will bid farewell and drive to Makuyuni. Maasai Eco Boma fuses traditional Maasai culture with simple, modern comfort. It offers a full two-day activity schedule. You will encounter Maasai dances and tribal enchantings and also meet the Maasai Kids and elders.
On this day, you will have breakfast at 6:30 AM, leave the lodge at approximately 7 AM, and then drive to Lake Eyasi (1hr drive). Upon arrival, you will be met by the representative who will give you a short orientation. Start visiting the Hadzabe people. The Hadzabe Tribe still hunts with bows and arrows on wild animals and gathers insects, fruits, and honey from the bush. The Hadzabe Bushmen are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherers in Africa and live solely on the land as our ancestors did for thousands of years, just as in the Stone Age. Overnight at Lake Eyasi for two nights. On the 2nd day, you will go hunting with the Hadzabe clan and later visit the Datogas and Iraqw people. Besides sheep farming and agriculture, the Datoga practice another activity: they are skilled blacksmiths; behind their houses, they keep a space for a fire to burn, and they use it to forge objects such as knife blades, arrow tips, and various ornaments.
Have breakfast, leave the Lodge at 7 AM, and have your 1-hour drive to Ngorongoro. Today, for the first time, you will experience the game drive inside the crater; we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a full-day viewing. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a wide variety of animals, which include the Big 5, herds of wildebeest, zebra, eland, and warthog. Another big draw card to this picturesque is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard. Later, drive to Lodge, thanks to the ideal location of your accommodations on the crater’s rim.
After breakfast, depart for Arusha. Visit a local market for some last-minute shopping.
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
