Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted and transferred privately to your accommodation in Arusha.

Day 2: Early Breakfast & Departure for Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. En route to your camp, enjoy a game drive with opportunities to photograph elephants, iconic baobab trees, and wildlife near the Tarangire River.

Afternoon Game Drive

In the afternoon, embark on a game drive focused on spotting big cats, large herds of elephants, and capturing the stunning landscapes of Tarangire.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive with Picnic Lunch

Day 4: Morning Game Drive in Tarangire & Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Day 5: Early Descent into Ngorongoro Crater for a Full-Day Game Drive

On Day 5, embark on an early descent into Ngorongoro Crater for an exclusive full-day game drive, with a picnic lunch included.

Photography Focus

This day will focus on capturing the Big Five, the crater’s dramatic landscapes, and fascinating wildlife interactions.

Driving Distance

The driving distance from Karibu Lion’s Paw Lodge to Ngorongoro Crater is approximately 83 km, which takes around 1 hour.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park via the Scenic Highlands.

However, after breakfast, begin your transfer to Serengeti National Park. Also, traveling through the scenic highlands. Enjoy a game drive along the way. Then, with plenty of opportunities to photograph cheetahs, lions, and the vast, iconic savannas of Tanzania.

Day 7-8: Sunrise & Sunset Game Drives in Central Serengeti

On Days 7 and 8, experience sunrise and sunset game drives in the Central Serengeti. However, the focus will be on capturing thrilling predator action. Hence, particularly big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as scavengers such as hyenas and vultures.

Day 9: Scenic Game Drive Transfer to Northern Serengeti

Day 10-13: Focus on Great Migration River Crossings at the Mara River.
